This Privacy Policy explains how Hysterion collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password.
• Billing Information: Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We only store your Stripe Customer ID and subscription status.
• Device Data: The TroughT Controller automatically transmits telemetry data, including water levels, pump status, battery voltage, temperature, and cellular signal strength.
• Usage Data: We collect basic analytics regarding how you interact with our web dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
• Process transactions and send related information.
• Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages (via Ntfy or email).
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and system health.

3. Sharing of Information

We will not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties. We may share information with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (e.g., Stripe for billing, Soracom for cellular connectivity).

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no internet or cellular transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
